What we decided
-
01
Tracing takes the two engineers earmarked for read replicas.
Why: two thirds of incident recovery goes on deciding which service is at fault; read replicas address a regional outage we have not had in four quarters.
-
02
The ingest deploy freeze lifts on 8 September, gated on the error budget.
Why: ingest has run clean for 36 hours and the budget is at 74%. Not under 70% on the morning of the 8th and the freeze holds another week.
-
03
Northwind gets scoped SAML, not the full identity roadmap.
Why: the trial needs an answer Thursday; the full roadmap is a quarter of work. Scoped SAML is eight days and covers their review.
Deferred. Who owns ingest was raised twice and settled neither time. Moved to the architecture review on 11 September.
Still open
-
Who owns ingest once the freeze lifts?
Three teams merged into it this quarter; none is on the pager. Needs: 11 September review.
-
Does scoped SAML block the November enterprise audit?
Nobody had read the control list. Needs: Dana with Security by 12 September.
